ServeRAID Volume ID

A ServeRAID Volume ID is assigned to a ServeRAIDLogicalVolume when it is acquired by a particular system. Unlike ServeRAID Merge Groups, it is not constant, since it coresponds to the particular ServeRAID Logical Volume which is being managed, and which is also not constant. Basically the Volume ID corresponds to the (non-constant) SCSI ID.

Since it is not constant, the Linux device names (/dev/sd[a-z]) which are assigned to it are also non-constant.
