Partner Projects

We work closely with several projects, supporting them, using their services, and making sure we're staying compatible with them.

These projects include:

Linux Virtual Server Project

We provide ldirectord[1] to manage replicated LVS[2] load balancers, and can support any other management entity that is started by a standard init script.

UltraMonkey Project

The Ultra Monkey[3] project combines LVS[2] with the Linux-HA software and provides good documentation for their integration. Ultra Monkey is run by long-time Linux-HA contributor horms[4].

DRBD

DRBD[5] is commonly used in Heartbeat[6] clusters in order to provide replicated storage in lieu of shared storage.

OpenAIS

OpenAIS[7] provides virtual synchrony communication services which we can use for a high-quality communication layer below our APIs and services.

EVMS

The EVMS[8] volume manager is cluster aware, and uses Heartbeat membership and communication services to implement this function.
